The Catoosa County Chamber of Commerce has partnered with The University of Georgia Small Business Development Center to offer advice and consulting.  Once a month from 9:00 a.m. until
10:00 a.m. there will be an open class for new start-up businesses.  From 10:00 a.m. – until 1:00 p.m. consulting on an individual will be offered.  There is no charge for these services; however, you must register by calling the Chamber office at 706-965-5201 Ext 10, or on the web site at ww.catoosachamberofcommerce.com and clicking on Business University.

Classes will be held at the Colonnade Civic Center from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. and taught by Karen Claypool
Members: $100        Non-Members: $200

Ms. Claypool is a linguist, language consultant, and specialist in accelerated language acquisition with both interest and experience working with international peoples and activities. She graduated from Ball State University with a Masters of Arts in Linguistics.

This is a continuation of the conversational German class desinged to acquaint you with hundreds of German words and phrases. You should be able to carry on a limited conversation, offer greetings, recognize printed words, shop, and order from a menu. If you did not take the first 6 week class, you will still be able to participate in this class. There will be some review and there will be much benefit if you have a basic knowledge of the German Language.

“Beginner QuickBooks “

This is an introduction to basic QuickBooks and you will be given a DVD with information on setting up your own QuickBooks.   You will need to bring a laptop to class.

Ms. Dickert is co-owner of Dickert and Sherrell.  She is a certified QuickBooks Pro Advisor and has been an accountant for 15 years.
 

The Catoosa County Chamber of Commerce will host a Candidates Debate for the 9^th District Congressional Special Election beginning at 6 p.m.  All eight congressional candidates are expected to attend.

It is the mission and goal of the Legislative Committee of the Chamber to work toward educating the community on legislative issues. The event is open to the public. There will be a moderator who ask questions of each candidate and each candidate will be given equal time to respond to the questions. There will also be questions taken from the audience if time permits.
